Managed Organic Recycling, Inc. is proud to introduce Cover Placement Machine Model 001. CPM 001 allows composting facilities that utilize In-vessel Aerated Static Pile Compost Covers and other Compost Cover Systems to increase efficiencies while extending the life of their compost covers.

CPM 001 reduces pile setup time, increases efficiency requiring one operator, and extends cover life by eliminating drag in cover placement and removal.

Since 2007 MOR has provided the composting industry with consulting services and equipment to process organic waste materials into a nutrient rich soil amendment product. Utah Valley’s north sewer district, which currently composts biosolids with chipped yard trimmings in outdoor windrows, is conducting a pilot project to consider upgrading its operation. The facility produces 30,000 cy of finished compost per year, sold at $20.00/cy, and uses the $500,000/year in revenue to help keep sewer feed down, However, odors have been an issue. (Continued…)

Pilot project cuts odor, cost for humanure compost

A new pilot project is letting local waste managers study a new composting method that takes half the time and emits much less odor. The results will be in next month, and if deemed a success, the North County district will spend up to $2 million to install the new method in Utah Valley. (Continued…)
